Fable 2

Today, I will write a review about another game from my selection of xbox360 rpg games: Fable 2. Fable is an adventure/rpg, so it does follow a more rigid storyline then other rpgs like the Elder Scrolls. Apart from the main storyline, it also has some side quests, but those will supply less gameplay hours then the main storyline.

Fable 2 has a unique perk, not seen in that many xbox 360 rpg games: your appearance morphs dependent on the choices you make. If you are greedy, you become ugly and if you make evil choices, your appearance becomes demonic. This also works the other way around with generous and good choices. This really improves the ambiance of the game, with is very much like a fairytale. apart from beautiful/ugly and good/evil your strength, accuracy and magic power also clearly show from the body.Another great thing about fable is that the world changes according to what decisions you make. At one point, all your choices in missions have a sudden effect on the world, shaping the world to your choice.

The XP gaining gives the game the extra rpg feel it needs. You gain specific experience according to what style of fighting you use (melee, ranged or magic) and you can use that to further improve that skill. This lets you create a unique fighter, but fighting could become a bit dull when you only use one style of fighting. The advice to avoid this is to mix your fighting styles.

Pro:
Morph the world and your character
Cool magic
solid XP system
compelling storyline
some replay value

Con:
Fighting could become monotonous
Shorter then you would wish
